The Montavilla Food Co-op is soliciting nominations for it’s first ever Board of Directors!
The MFC is growing fast, gaining members and momentum towards opening a cooperative grocery store in the Montavilla neighborhood. We have reached a membership milestone and are now are seeking to assemble a development board – a distinctive body of Co-op members focused on and committed to making our cooperative grocery store a reality.
The unique diversity of our neighborhood and our desire for inclusivity will be reflected in our board’s composition. We seek to attract people of all ethnicity, culture, background and experience to wholeheartedly serve as a representative of our membership.

About the Montavilla Food Co-op
The goal of the Montavilla Food Co-op is to enhance the quality of life for both residents and visitors by providing access to affordable, healthy food in an environment shaped by the community’s values. The MFC is growing quickly with over 120 members and dedicated volunteers. As membership grows we are getting closer and closer to opening a brick and mortar store in the Montavilla neighborhood. We began our journey in the summer of 2010, and are building support block by block. Our goal is to develop strategically to ensure long term success. With a focus on healthy products and sustainable practices. MFC will evolve and expand based on the needs of co-op’s members and the Montavilla community.
