Kris Deelane (of Sweetjuice, Berthaline, Adam + Kris and Jesus Presley) brings two other groups to the stage for her Laurelthirst Sundays series in April. Deelane’s songs are pointed, purposeful and direct. Her singing is tough, tender, powerful and versatile.

She performs with Rachael Rice and Darka Dusty April 7, and 21 at 9 pm in a high powered trio of roots-rock with 3-part super-heroine harmonies packed with fire and expression. Who knew “Sympathy for the Devil” could be a Cajun tune?

April 14 and 28 features Kris with her Sharp Little Things, a band including Mark Bowden of Miriam’s Well, Mark Kent of Red Light Romeos, Ron Rogers of the Wailing Wind, and John Gannon on drums.

There is no cover for these nights. See krisdeelane.com for music. The monthly Laurelthirst schedule is at www.laurelthirst.com .
