LATCHO DROM, the unforgettable film by Tony Gatlif tells of the migration of the Rom people westward across Europe with music, dance and virtually no dialogue. It screens Wed. July 3 at the Bagdad Theater, 3702 SE Hawthorne Blvd. A fundraiser for Festival Romani- a celebration coming in August of Gypsy music and dance from around the world. BRITISH ARTIST LUCY SKAER is featured artist at Yale Union, 800 SE 10th Ave,, through mid-September. From approximately 24 tons of lithographic limestone quarried from northeastern Iowa, Skaer will create site-specific sculptures for installation taking the entire second floor of the Yale Union building.
