Oregon Children’s Theatre’s Young Professionals Company presents a new version of A World War II Radio Christmas: 1943 Edition. Join the audience of a live radio show broadcast from Portland during World War II and hear inspiring true stories, comedic sketches, commercials, swinging Christmas tunes, live Foley sound effects, and the songs that shook the airwaves then.
The Young Professionals Company offers a series of performances presented by dedicated acting students aged 13-18 who have been selected to participate in a year-long mentoring program.
The show runs December 6-8 and 13-15 at Oregon Children’s Theatre’s Black Box Studio, 1939 NE Sandy Blvd., and is presented Fridays at 7 pm, Saturdays at 2 and 5 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 advance or $15 at the door and can be ordered by phoning 503.228.9571.
The group Letters to Soldiers will have a table at the performances, offering audience members the opportunity to write letters of support to deployed military men and women.
