NEW BOARD MEMBERS: BABA welcomes two new Belmont Area Business Association board members this month: Stephanie Fritzig, co-operator of the Triple Nickel Pub who is looking forward to furthering good community relations for all drinking establishments in the district from 12th to 60th on or near Belmont, Morrison and Stark and Andrew DeWeese, PA who works with property insurance claims, business transactions, business litigation, and employment law at 4531 SE Belmont Street, Suite 207.
NEW BELMONT MAP: The 2014 Belmont Area Walking Map is at the printers this month.  Maps will be displayed in districts businesses, distributed in the Sunnyside Neighborhood Newsletter in July and also placed at the downtown visitors center in time for Portland’s many summer visitors.
UNIQUE NEW RETAIL SPACE FOR LEASE: Several new spaces have come available in the last month along Belmont:  Grant Associates is turning the house at 3121 SE Belmont into a long term vacation rental and fixing up the retail space at street level for new tenants.
A tiny retail space has also opened up right next to BARE at 3525 SE Belmont Street and two newly renovated spaces at the corner of 27th and Belmont. .
NETWORKING:Â Are you our new business neighbor? Â If so, be sure to come to a monthly BABA business meeting the second Thursday morning of the month 9 – 10:30 am at the Belmont Firehouse at 35th and Belmont or check the BABA web site at www.belmontdistrict.org for our floating BBB events – Belmont Business Beverage gatherings – held at different locations around the district each month on the forth of fifth Thursday.
