C ST celebrates 100 year anniversary

Celebrate 100 years of the Clinton Street Theater and 100 Years of “The Little Tramp” when Dan Kamin, who trained Robert Downey Jr. for his Oscar-nominated performance as Chaplin, joins us for a one-of-a-kind event.  Audience members take a magical excursion into Chaplin’s enchanted comic world through film clips, live performance, and the screening of a newly restored version of THE PAWNSHOP, Chaplin’s short 1916 masterpiece.  Portland musician and composer Philip Van Scotter has created an original score for this landmark silent film and will provide live accompaniment.  There’s lots of fun audience participation, and the program is one that kids will enjoy as much as adults.  Come help Dan Kamin unearth Charlie Chaplin’s Funny Bones.
