Music Millennium continues to make it happen live for Portland this month scheduling an upclose and personal Meet and Greet with Funkadelic founder George Clinton, March 18 at 4 pm in celebration of the new Funkadelic album First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate Later that night Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic appear live in concert at Crystal Ballroom.

Clinton one of the funkmost musical innovators and is the mastermind behind legendary bands Parliament and Funkadelic and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 with 15 other members of Parliament-Funkadelic.

In 2010 Clinton regained control and ownership of four Funkadelic albums, including “One Nation Under A Groove” and “(not just) Knee Deep.” Clinton prevailed via settlement with Capitol/ EMI and won an appellate ruling in his battle against music giant Universal Music Group. He then donated 25% of the Funkadelic catalog and $10K to the Barack Obama Green Charter High School in Plainfield, New Jersey and 10% of the catalog to two local Plainfield, New Jersey churches and a temple as well as his ongoing support for education through his Mother’s Hip Connection Education Foundation.
