Kate MacLeod and Kat Eggleston are modern day minstrels and that, conveniently, is the theme of this month’s Portland Folk Music Society concert. The duo performs in concert, Friday March 18 at St. David of Wales Church, 2800 SE Harrison St.
MacLeod, Salt Lake City songwriter and award winning fiddle player and Eggleston, from Vashon Island, lyrical poemsinger guitarist and mountain dulcimer player, have performed together for many years.
Doors open at 7 pm and opener Jenn Rawling, Portland songwriter/guitarist and vintage American folk singer, begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $18, $15 PFS members, $9 ages 12-18, free under 12. Advance tickets are available at www.portlandfolkmusic.org/concerts.
