Brooklyn’s beloved kid music band, Rolie Polie Guacamole, brings their Chips and Salsa Summertime Tour to Portland, Friday, August 5 with a show at 10 am at Seahorses PDX, 4029 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

The duo’s energy, wacky humor, and impeccable musicianship in their show delights audiences with tunes like Bird Bellyful, Wake Up Shake Up, Apples, Always Brush Your Teeth, and, their themesong,Rolie Polie Guacamole.

The band consists of Frank Gallo, vocals/guitar; Andrew Tuzhilin, bass/vocals; Peter Barr, drums and Christian McCarthy, guitar.

They’ve are winners of the Parents’ Choice and NAPPA Awards, and have developed a smart, musical style with original tunes and covers filled with harmonies and an electric current of rhythm that lights up lyrics humming with relevance and humor.

They’ve released five albums and their newest release, Chips and Salsa, is high-energy folk, funk, rock, Latin and country, with songs about eating healthy, staying active, and animal tunes.
