OMSI, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is taking guests through an out-of-this-world experience with an exciting exhibit, Journey to Space: The Exhibition.

The 10,000 square-foot exhibit features a hands-on, immersive experience to give visitors an up-close look at what it takes to live and survive in space. Learn about radiation, meteoroids, and temperature extremes, to understand the extreme conditions faced by astronauts and their equipment.

Explore an orbiting space station and try your hand at feats of engineering to support astronauts who live in space.

Through games, multimedia components, and interactive exhibits, learn how astronauts eat, sleep, and even go to the bathroom in space.

Journey to Space continues through January 8.

OMSI’s 2016 Sci-Fi Film Festival is 8 days July 8 – 15, and features 16 classic movies from the 50s  now on a four-story tall screen. Fantastic Planet, Robocop, Dune, E.T., Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Inception, They Live and others. Buy a series pass or individual movies.
