All’s Faire is the season opener from Action Adventure Theatre, a semi improvised serialized story of put-upon Renaissance Faire employees that unfolds over four episodes and four weekends.

The play was written, directed, and designed by high schoolers from the Isinglass “Egg” summer institute and professional actors they worked with.

The story follows a group of young people working their first jobs as squires at a Medieval Fun Park. The intrepid hero navigates a world of neurotic managers, overcompensating knights, and young love. She finds squiring a tough gig, and mysterious things begin happening around the park as knights, warlocks, vagabonds, turkey legs and an insightful goat appear.

Presented Thursdays through Sundays, September 15 – October 9, all shows are at 7:30 pm. Action/Adventure Theater is at 1050 SE Clinton St. Tickets are $12 advance, $15 at door. Thursdays are pay-what-you-will. See ActionAdventure.org.
