Buyer and Cellar

Buyer & Cellar is a new comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs. Imagine working in Barbra Streisand’s Malibu basement selling her own possessions back to her. It’s an Oregon premiere, brought to you by the folks at triangle productions.

Struggling L.A. actor Alex More takes a job working in the basement mall of the beloved mega-star in a play inspired by Streisand’s coffeetable book, My Passion for Design. When she built her current estate, she included a basement mall. The show imagines a young actor hired to work as a costumed salesperson/keeper so she can come down and purchase or return items she already owns.

Written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Don Horn, the play is presented at The Sanctuary at Sandy Plaza, 1785 NE Sandy Blvd. Opening night is November 25 and it continues through December 19 Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 pm,with Sunday matinees at 2 pm.

Tickets/information is online at trianglepro.org or 503.239.5919. All seats are reserved and ticket prices range from $15 – $35.
