Here is one of the twenty five glorious photos from the 2017 Mount Tabor Park Calendar, celebrating SE Portland’s beloved park and historic structures.

The portraits of this beautiful garden in the midst of our city are evocative and moving. Calendars may be purchased at the Visitor Information Kiosk in Mount Tabor Park or by calling 503.319.8946. Order online at andrewhaliburton.com. Calendars are $20 and all sales benefit the hardworking Friends of Mt. Tabor Park.

Covering 190 acres, the park offers paved and unpaved trails, play areas, basketball and tennis courts and picnic areas. For over 100 years, the reservoirs functioned at the heart of Portland’s drinking water supply that flows from the Bull Run watershed. This ingeniously engineered system was powered by gravity and operated by the Portland Water Bureau. Even though the reservoirs are offline now, thanks to community oversight, their spectacular beauty can still be enjoyed every day of the week.
