HBBA members have elected the 2017-18 Board of Directors. They will, with other business owners, managers, employees and neighborhood representatives guide the activities and services offered by the District to our neighbors, the community and our many national and international visitors.

Business awards were presented to Venerable: Fred’s Sound of Music, Sustainable: Belmont Eco Laundry – Hawthorne and Iconic: Bread & Ink Café. A special Community Service Award was presented to Mainspring (formerly FISH) as they leave the District for a more volunteer and client accessible building on NE 82nd. We will miss their presence in the District.

The Hawthorne walking patrol begins April 1. Thank you to all the businesses and property owners who have pledged support. Be sure to introduce yourself to PPB officers on upper Hawthorne in the evening and to the patrol staff when you see them.
