CHRISTMAS CONCERTS AT ST. ANDREWS CHAPEL, 7617 SE Main St. Two evenings of music each an hour long and free. Ascension Catholic Choir Wednesday, December 12 at 7 pm, Traditional hymns in a choral setting and PDX Vox. NATURA MORTA BY WALTER MARCHETTI,  composed for a grand piano covered in fruit and “a very simple sequence of piano accidents” is presented Saturday, December 15, 8 pm at YU, Yale Union, 800 SE 10th Ave. and performed by Portland pianist Patrik Csak, from a transcription by Jordan Dykstra. A “simple and slow work with no punctures, peaks or destinies”, Marchetti (born 1931) collaborated with Juan Hidalgo and Zaj, a performance collective founded in Milan in 1959 funded in part by John Cage and is considered a pioneer in interactive and musique concrete. A WORLD WAR II RADIO CHRISTMAS – Oregon Children’s Theatre’s Young Professionals production December 8-16 at Black Box Studio: 1939 NE Sandy Blvd. Travel in time to join the audience of a live radio show broadcast from Portland during World War II. Stories, sketches and commercials, Christmas tunes and live Foley sound effects. Saturdays at 2 and 5 pm, Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets $5-$10 or $7-$12 at the door. Fine for ages 6 and up. THE 18th ACOUSTIC GUITAR SUMMIT Concert Benefit is Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 pm at All Saints Parish, 3847 NE Glisan St. Mark Hanson and Doug Smith are both Grammy-winning guitarists and Terry Robb’s tone is bluesy and always distinctive. MEMBERS’ CHOICE AT 12X16 GALLERY through December 23 is an assemblage of photography, both pinhole camera and traditional, sculpture, etching, painting and collage. Each of the Gallery’s 13 members has paired with a guest for art large and small, in color and black and white, serious and playful. SEEDS OF HOPE is Echo Theatre’s production with a new generation of artists in an age old tale. A teenage girl’s summer is rocked by a stunning turn of events as Pandora opens her box of chaos, loosing a physical collage of aerial dance, acrobatics and song. Directed by Aaron Wheeler-Kay, the play introduces artists from across the city with live original music by Mike Van Liew, Jack Buddeke and Mike Snyder.
