Frida, un retablo

In Tehuantepec dress with eyebrows like the wings of a raven, Frida Kahlo is legendary for her numerous self-portraits, affairs, and an independence that still inspires generations around the world. From the streetcar accident that left her crippled, to her difficult relationship with muralist Diego Rivera, life and art intertwine in this story of one of Mexico’s most acclaimed visual artists. She was called a surrealist, but Frida said she never painted dreams, only her own reality.
