Neighborhood Notes South Tabor February 2013

By Ben Olsen

January’s board meeting included many new faces, new ideas, and exciting new projects for South Tabor. Information was presented about a new neighborhood watch program in South Tabor, as well as information about the “Villages” program for in home retirement care.

There’s positive momentum going into February, and we’re looking forward to having neighbors join us at the general meeting and help shape the direction of our neighborhood association.

February’s meeting will include an opportunity to vote on the proposed 2013 STNA budget. This was planned for January, but postponed until now for more time to review budget proposals, and provide more opportunity for public input. If you’d like to participate, join us at the next general meeting on February 21.

Also, an open board meeting will take place the same day from 6:30 to 8 pm. All are welcome to attend. This meeting will be used to prepare the 2013 budget so that it’s ready to be voted upon at the general meeting.

Join us at the general meeting for information on the Division Safety Project too. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and express concerns.

As a reminder, board and general meetings continue to be held at 2700 SE 67th Ave. For more information, visit www.southtabor.org.

Next STNA open board meeting: Feb. 7, 6:30pm – 8 pm

Next STNA general meeting: Feb. 21 – 7 pm to 8 pm
