Milagro Theatre’s bilingual celebration of the Day of the Dead celebrates another year at 525 SE Stark St. Thursday through Sunday October 18 to November 10. It’s the Rose City’s renowed celebration of the Day of the Dead and this year’s show is directed by Lakin Valdez of El Teatro Campesino.

Amanda and Juan, a fated couple, want to spice things up in their failing marriage, so they decide to go on a second honeymoon  to a romantic B&B, but they should never have listened to their GPS… Luckily, in the land of the dead, los muertitos really know how to live it up.

Friday Oct. 18 is opening night and there’ll be a reception event catered by La Bonita restaurant.  An ASL interpretated performance is Sunday, Oct. 27 (contact box office for seating). Day of the Dead altars curated by Pepe Moscoso and created by local artists will be on display one hour prior to each performance in El ZĂłcalo, the community space in the lobby. Curtain times are listed at www.milagro.org . Tickets are $15 – $26; discounts for students, seniors, groups of 15+ and advance purchases. Box office phone is 503.236.7253.
