A sincere thank you to the neighbors and businesses who took the time to reply to the surveys. All four neighborhoods commented on the commercial district and many left thoughtful responses and suggestions. Both reports are being edited now and will be available soon.

Division/Clinton was very well represented at this year’s Feast Portland festival, September 20-22.  SE Wine collective held an unofficial happy hour, Pok Pok’s Andy Ricker taught a class in cooking at home, and Roman Candle Bakery gave away Shake Shack’s Italian ice cream and coffee dessert. Stumptown just opened its first California retail store, the 10th for Duane Sorenson. SE Wine Collective was recently named Wine Bar of the Year by Imbibe magazine.  The four-winery group is also praised in the New York Times Travel Times section and Wine Spectator.

In and Out tax agency purchased the building at 3828 SE Division and plans to expand into both floors. An open house is planned later in the fall. Eve Davis and her husband Peter continue to offer a 10% discount to Division/Clinton businesses. Their former shop at 3725 is for lease. Imperial Bottle Shop and Taproom, featuring 16 beers on tap and 200 bottles to go, opened at 3090 SE Division, in the D Street village. Upstairs tenants in D Street include Valley Design, Dr. Banjo Weymouth, Brad Larsen, PsyD, Meghann Case, PsyD, Attorney Michelle Ryan, Munzing Engineering, Real Living Real Estate, Image Wear, Tim Crespi and Alec Wilson, and Spoke Branding. Division Vapor, a new firm selling e-cigarettes and the e-liquid they use opened at 3601 SE Division.

Sustainable Southeast is about to put out their map listing all the certified sustainable businesses in the Belmont-Hawthorne-Division/Clinton districts. If you have been certified by any of the agencies, including the City of Portland, send Liz Potter an email, lizp@newseasonsmarket.com letting her know you want to be included.  She can give you more information on certification.

Construction continues on Division and side streets as well as around the light rail tracks, but the worst of it is over.  Some planting in bioswales and replacement of trees is scheduled before winter, weather permitting.

Joseph Annett from BES remains available.  Contact him at 503.823.2934 or joseph.annett@portlandoregon.gov .
