Hallowe’en films fill Clinton Street

Ghostlight, a new film by Seattle’s Jeff Ferrell, screens at Clinton Street Theater for two nights October 24 and 25, as part of CST’s October Surprise. Ghostlight was made in Washington and the director and cast members will be in attendance for a Q&A at both screenings.

In the story, Andrew wins a radio contest to spend one night alone in a haunted theater on the 80th anniversary of the bloody murder/suicide that occurred there. His prize will be $50,000 if he can spend 12 hours alone inside. The theater has been plagued by a series of mysterious deaths in the years since. Andrew has no qualms about being there, but his wife Mira has been haunted by psychic premonitions about the place, www.ghostlightfilm.com .

Other spooky highlights this month at Clinton Street: Zompire: The Undead Film Festival returns October 4 and 5, zombie, vampire, and ghoulie ghost films from indy filmmakers you won’t see anywhere else.

October 18 through 20, Clinton Street goes live with a production by Monkey With A Hat On called Turtle Doves, a crime thriller.

Then CST kicks their Halloween celebration in earnest October 25 with a week-long run of Birth Of The Dead, a new documentary about the classic zombie thriller, Night Of The Living Dead,

Mischief Night October 30 and two screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show October 31 round out this pumpkin month.
