Montavilla October 2013

Leaves are changing and the days grow shorter. Fall has found us and it’s a great time to get involved with your neighborhood association. Even if you can’t attend regular meetings, there are plenty of ways to be involved.  Have you taken our neighborhood survey? Find the link at www.surveymonkey.com/s/MontavillaNeighborhoodAssociationSurvey to share your thoughts.

We are recruiting neighbors to participate on standing neighborhood association committees. If you’re interested or want to learn more, contact the Montavilla Neighborhood Association (MNA) chair for your committee of interest.

Land Use and Transportation committee – Lew@montavillapdx.org

Communications committee – Joanna@montavillapdx.org

Public Safety (no official committee yet, but recruiting interested parties) – Benjamin@montavillapdx.org

Street tree plantings through the Friends of Trees program will happen this November in Montavilla. Friends of Trees will conduct free inspections of your property for the best location(s) of new trees and offers a great selection of approved street trees for your home. Interested? Contact Neighborhood Coordinator, Benjamin to learn more. Benjamin@montavillapdx.org

We hope you’ll add MNA monthly meetings to your calendar. Join us each second Monday at 7:30 pm at Montavilla United Methodist Church, 232 SE 80th Ave. Fall meetings will be held October 14, and November 11. Parking and childcare are free and plentiful.
