River Without End

aTree-of-Life-by-Sarah-HallRiver Without End is an exhibit of Sarah Hall and Gesine Krätzner’s latest works, on the walls of Albina Press, 5012 SE Hawthorne Blvd throughout October. The scenic sculptures populate a river that does not end literally, as the show contains a wall-mounted river in-the-round flowing around the circumference of the cafĂ©. Artist reception is First Friday October 4, 6 pm and Hall and Kratzner chose the river as a place where all life, humorously mundane and sacred, congregates to unfold. CafĂ© hours are Fri. 6 am – 8 pm, weekends, 6:30 am – 8 pm. Pictured here is Hall’s “Tree of Life”, made of wood, marble dust, metal, paper, oil paint and acrylic.
