We are stoked about the 2013 Gift Guide and all the specials and treats businesses have put together for Hawthorne Holiday Stroll on Sat. December 7! Many businesses are supporting the KGW 2013 Great Toy Drive with donated toys going to the new eastside Raphael House.
Kids at Heart will offer a 10% discount on any toys that are purchased and donated to the Toy Drive there. Bazi Bierbrasserie is offering 10% off the total bill from Dec 2-16, or 20% off on Dec 7 if you donate a toy. Others collecting toys are Memento, Wells Fargo, Metro, Mag-Big, Presents of Mind, Cassidy and more.
Ascending Hope Acupuncture, 4511, Suite 204: ear needle and ear seed treatments at a discounted cost of $15 for needles and $10 for seeds all day Dec 7, 10 am until 9 pm, on a drop-in basis. New Seasons Hawthorne, 4034, will warm you up with a Stroll Day Special: $1 off of a 12 or 16 oz cider or hot chocolate at the walkup window. Santa will be at Fred Meyer Hawthorne from noon to 4 pm. Asylum (formerly Sorel’s), 3713, a DJ will spin vintage rock and Christmas-themed records from 3 to 6 pm with a live mannequin in the main window.

Buffalo Exchange, 1420 SE 37th, will host a raffle with a $40 gift card prize for December 7 shoppers along with snacks and refreshments. Presents of Mind, 3633, has coffee, cookies and balloons for the kids. Eight Women, 3614, 503.236.8878, Dec. 7 special: 10% off on ALL hats, gloves and scarves. All sizes. Ben and Jerry’s, 1428 SE 36th, Santa’s helper is handing out mini-cones from 12 to 4 pm.
