If you’re newly-insured and don’t have a doctor yet, you can go to the walk in OHSU clinic at 42nd if you need care. Whatever insurance you have will be honored.  If you still don’t have insurance, you will not be turned away for lack of money.  If you want to belong to the OHSU clinic at 39th, either call for an appointment and tell them you’re new or tell them at the walk-in clinic when you visit.

At the annual meeting, DCBA elected President Todd Cleek, Vice President Kevin Fisher, Secretary Erin Kirk, and Treasurer Deirdre Shepherd (Baker).  Jean Baker, Liz Potter, Paul Block, Darice Robinson, and Adam Mangus were elected to the board. The updated bylaws were approved. New bylaws change DCBA’s boundaries from Stevens to Powell and 12th to 60th to Lincoln/Harrison to Taggert and 12th to 50th.  Dues are now required for membership.

Discussion on a north/south bike route through the 20s streets continues. Nothing is certain yet, but parking might not be removed from SE 26th between Division and Clinton and bicyclists might use 26th going north and 28th going south.

There are two new liquor licenses on the street, Pizza Maria at 3060 SE Division, and Tokyo Table in the former Bay Leaf at 48th and Division.  Bollywood Theatre won’t open until February.  Sydney Mead opened Habitate Property Management just off 29th. She specializes in residential properties.sydney@habitatepropertymanagement.com.

Son of a Biscuit will open in the newly-bright blue space at 20th and Division. Koi Fusion is opening in D Street Village at 30th and Division and beauty shop Bobby Pins opened at 4807 SE Division.

Tri-Met is beginning the bus service planning process for Division, Powell, and the Milwaukie light rail – and wants input from local businesses and residents. If you’re interested check out the Tri-Met website, www.trimet.org, and attend meetings.
