Richmond Neighborhood Association held its monthly meeting on March 10, at Waverly Heights Church at SE 33rd and Woodward St.
The March meeting was devoted to a Candidates Forum for the Oregon House District 42 and Multnomah County District 1races. House District 42 candidates — Don Gavitte, Teddy Keizer and Rob Nosse — answered questions from the audience for the first hour. Jules Bailey, Multnomah County District 1 candidate, fielded questions the second hour. No other candidates for District 1 attended.
The April RNA agenda will feature Jay Rogers, Bureau of Transportation’s Parking Control manager, who will explain the Mini Area Parking Permit Pilot Program. For people interested in learning about getting permit parking on your street, Jay will explain the requirements to qualify for the program, the annual cost, and the limitation of the program in that it only deals parking density caused by a “commuter problem.”
The next RNA meeting will be Monday, April 14, from 7 to 9 pm. RNA meetings are held in the basement. Use the NE side door. The RNA’s website is www.richmondpdx.org. To be added to the monthly email list to receive agendas, email richmondna@yahoo.com.
