Give Local Day – On May 6, Portland joins more than 100 communities throughout the United States for a national day of local giving. On-the-Move Community Integration at 42nd and Division is SE Portland’s own, local, grassroots nonprofit. You can make a gift online at Give Local Portland or www.givelocalportland.org/#npo/on-the-move-community-integration.

On-the-Move Community Integration is Portland’s own nonprofit. Winner of the 2013 Innovation in Sustainability Award, On-the-Move’s mission is to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in accessing healthful, environmentally responsible and meaningful activities in the community. If your business is looking for a nonprofit partner, you will not find a more worthy, or more local, 501(c)3 charity.

Kimberly Beddor opened Bella Vita Spa and Wellness at 22nd and Division. Bella Vita does electrolysis and laser hair removal. Son of a Biscuit is opening in the bright blue building at 21st and Division, across from Mirador. Son sells Fried chicken. Pine Street Biscuits opened on 11th Ave. across from the Ford Building.

Latest plans for the street fair include the very popular parade followed by vendors at 36th and 37th on Division and on Clinton from 24th to 27th and ending with the musical event on Clinton. We’re looking for a second marching band for the parade.

According to Joe Annett the Division Streetscape project is still on schedule.  The paving between 10th and 39th will be done by late summer and all the rest of the bioswale work by the end of October. Contact project spokesman Joseph Annett at 503.823.2934 or joseph.annett@portlandoregon.gov.
