Letters to the Editor July 14

Dear Editor,

Commissioner Fritz and Commissioner Fish will be drafting an amendment, to protect the Mt. Tabor Park Master Plan as well as the Mt. Tabor Reservoirs from being sold, rented, or leased “in-perpetuity”.

So please join me in asking they seriously consider adding all publicly-owned property held in the commons for the common good, including public school property (preserving current R1 zoning), city parks, water property, roughly 50 underground wells (from private and/or foreign investors) and access to water ways in perpetuity.

Surely our elected officials will welcome hearing from the public during the planning stages.

Here it is! www.portlandonline.com/auditor/index.cfm?c=28148&
