The end to construction is so close we can taste it.  In fact we are having an event on October 24 to celebrate with ribbon-cutting politicians, great food, bargains and residents having fun. See divisionclinton.com for more details.

The last bit of road construction is repaving, to divert Eastbound traffic to Powell Blvd. from August 26 to September 25.  It’s for the greater good, so bikers, walkers and drivers, please share the road and keep each other safe.

Off the Waffle has opened at 2601 SE Clinton St., serving both sweet and savory options seven days a week from 9 am to 1 pm.

Four of the Five OHSU employees nominated for the 2014 presidents award are from our Richmond Clinic: Val Cecil, Lisa Wilwerth, Julie Flindt and Rachael Postman. Richmond serves any residents, regardless of insurance, income or language. Good luck ladies.

Taking a cue from our neighborhood survey requests for a credit union, Rite Aid (2440 SE Cesar E. Chavez Blvd.) has installed an OnPoint ATM. No charge, of course.

Holy Spokes!, 3050 SE Division St., is a new bike shop specializing in servicing commuter bikes and is even open commuter hours, 8 am – 8 pm weekdays and 10am – 6 pm on weekends. See holyspokespdx.com

We are excited to see you when our dust is settled October 24.
