Much Ado About Shakespeare at Post 5

Post5 Theatre, 1666 SE Lambert St. presents their third and final Shakespearean comedy of the 2015 season, William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. The play is presented at the theatre’s new expanded 5,000 sq ft home in Sellwood.

The curtain goes up at 8 pm onstage Friday – Sunday, July 17  – August 16, previews are July 14, and July 16.

Post5 takes on this classical tale with a stylish 1950s twist. The play’s timeless sense of humor is set on the slopes of an Italian Vineyard where Benedick and Beatrice are tricked into confessing their love for each other, and Claudio is tricked into rejecting his beloved Hero at the altar on the erroneous belief that she has been unfaithful.

Filled with villainous plots and twists reflecting the frivolity and dangers of love, the show is directed by Seattle’s Artistic Director of New Century Theatre Company, Darragh Kennan, Ticket price is $20 at the door or online at www.boxofficetickets.com.

Post5 Theatre stages diverse, affordable theatre to hold ‘the mirror up to nature’ with the inventive, effervescent storytelling of William Shakespeare and contemporary playwrights for all theatre audiences.www.post5theatre.org
