We wish you all an excellent 2016!

Belmont Eco Laundry owners Jay and Connie Ihrke are excited to be on the Boulevard at 2942 SE Hawthorne. Open hours are 8 am to 10 pm with a variety of washers and dryer sizes to meet your laundry needs. They are looking forward to meeting their new neighbors so stop by to say hello and pick up a copy of the new Hawthorne Boulevard Food & Drink Guide.

To conclude the Hawthorne Holiday Stroll, the Fernie Brae at SE 41st hosted the 1st Annual Tree Lighting on their inviting little plaza. Santa Claus at Fred Meyer and President Roosevelt were honored guests.

Six new businesses participated in the 2015 Hawthorne Gift Guide and their owners mentioned how much they enjoyed meeting new neighbors and are happy that our community so strongly supports the Boulevard by shopping locally. Teascape, 1413, massage and a pleasant place for tea and a visit; Karuna Contemplative Living, 1725, pillows, books, art, clothing and gifts; Bee Thinking, 1551 SE Poplar (behind Café Castagna, 1752) current and would be beekeepers needs, including classes; 3 Dots & a Dash, 3403, furniture, unique decorative and useful items; Seahorses PDX, 4029, serves Dads’ child nurturing needs and Roosevelt’s Terrariums, 1510 SE 44th, offers an amazing variety of terrariums and their ingredients for do-it yourselfers.
