From November 26 to December 31, Division/Clinton Celebrates Small This Holiday Season.

Kick off the holiday shopping season by joining us on Small Business Saturday, November 26.  Make a purchase at any two Division/Clinton Business Association member businesses and receive a free Division/Clinton T shirt or Tote Bag. The free gifts include coupons to be used later at local small businesses. Bags and shirts must be claimed at the DCBA pop up tent at SE 33rd and Division, next to Bridge City Mercantile, 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, November 26.  Browse member businesses at Divisionclinton.com.

Two of our local businesses were selected for 2016 Top Work Places by The Oregonian. Edward Jones, 4111 SE Division, on the list for the past five years, focuses on helping individual investors. Living room Realty at 2625 SE 26th is the only B-Corp real estate company west of the Mississippi. Benefit corporations (B-Corps) are certified as having positive impacts on society, workers, and the community.

Renard at 2039 SE Clinton has been replaced by Jacqueline, recommended as an upscale seafood restaurant. Honky Tonk Taco opened in July at SE 34th and Division and is now either closed or on hold.  Nate Tilden says he is considering his options. Progress continues on Trailhead, the new credit union joining the street. Now all we need is a mailing business so we can skip the lines at either local post office.

You can contact President Sydney Mead at sydney@habitatellc.com or Katie Meyer at dcbakatie@gmail.com.
