Kindertransport

Warner Pacific College Drama Program presents Kindertransport, by Diane Samuels, the program’s fall production at the college’s, McGuire Theatre, 2219 SE 68th Ave. (the cross street is SE Division).

The play examines the life of a Kindertransport child during World War II and afterwards. Though fictitious, it is based on many real stories. In November 1938, after nights of violence against Jews across Germany and Austria, the British government introduced a program called the Kindertransport, which gave Jewish children (and only children) safe passage to the UK.

Performances are Thursday, November 10 through Saturday, November 12 at 7:30 pm. Sunday, November 13 is at 2 pm followed by a discussion with company members. The talkback is free and open to the public.

Tickets are $3 for students and $6 for adults or two adult tickets for $10 at the door (in the WPC Bookstore). Pre-purchase available by calling 503.517.1100.
