Post5’s Coyote on a Fence

Post5 Theatre Company presents Coyote on a Fence by Bruce Graham and directed by Paul Angelo, Thursdays – Sundays, November 4 – 20.

Set on death row, the story is told through the eyes of Shawna DuChamps, the female prison guard who spends her days presiding over men who have earned their fate and her nights battling with insomnia. The play asks: can you be innocent even when you’re guilty?

Condemned felon John Brennan and cellmate Robert Alvin Reyburn are two people with vastly different ideas of what it means to be free. When Brennan writes a prison newspaper, “The Death Row Advocate”, it catches the attention of a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist.

Post5 Theatre partners with the Oregon Department of Corrections and other organizations to offer pre-show talks on the subjects of incarceration, rehabilitation, and the death penalty. Dates for talkbacks will be posted at post5theatre.org. Call 971.333.1758 for more.

Wednesday, November 16, Post5 presents a concert and fundraiser featuring graduates of the Columbia River Correctional Institution Music/Dialogue Program.

All performances are at 7:30 pm at Post5 Theatre, 1666 SE Lambert St. Tickets are $20/$10 seniors. Sunday and Thursday performances are Pay What You Will. Tickets and reservations, see post5theatre.org or phone 971.333.1758
