PWNW’s Alembic Artists

Two new works are presented this month by Performance Works NorthWest’s Alembic Resident Artists, Friday and Saturday March 24 and 25. The Residency is one of PWNW’s core programs that gives local and visiting artists space and time to develop new approaches to their work.

In Fifth Sun, claire barrera finds all times present at all times – no small feat considering these times we’re in. barrera is an artist, activist, educator and writer. This new work is created and performed with collaborator/performers Muffie Connelly and Anna Vo. On March 25 is Lu Yim subs for Anna Vo.

Noelle Stiles by Chelsea Petrakis

This One Is, a work in progress by Noelle Stiles, expresses family intimacy, generational cycles of misogyny, and perseverance. Stiles explores how and where experience is held in the body. Justine Highsmith provides sound.
