The 2019 Mount Tabor Park Calendar, an annual project of photographer Andrew Haliburton celebrates Portland’s park treasure and historic structures and helps raise funds for Friends of Mt. Tabor Park.
The calendar is printed and bound here in Portland and features twenty-five photos of vistas and details in and around the park with park event dates included.
For over a century, the reservoirs functioned at the heart of Portland’s drinking water supply, balancing the flow of drinking water from the Bull Run. They were disconnected from the City’s drinking water system in 2016, and would have been razed without the help of the neighborhood and community. Thanks to them, the park remains and retains its original form covering nearly two hundred acres, with paved and unpaved trails, play areas, basketball and tennis courts and picnic areas.
