Safety Advocates to Rally Tuesday to Save the Bike Lanes Outside Cleveland High School

Dozens of street safety advocates will rally at Powell Park on Tuesday to oppose the removal of the bike lanes on Southeast SE 26th Avenue at Powell Boulevard, one of Portland’s most crash-prone intersections.   Participants will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday to demonstrate the strong local support for the bike lanes, which help slow down traffic outside Cleveland High School and in turn reduce the likelihood for crashes.
