BABA President:

Constance Ihrke

Meetings: Second Thur, 9 am

Historic Belmont Firehouse,

900 SE 35th

BABA welcomes a new marketing and communications rep for the business district, Karen Hery. Karen is a Sunnyside resident and already a familiar presence to many Belmont businesses for her work with the kid’s area of the Belmont Street Fair (scheduled this year for Saturday, September 14) and through the Know Your Neighbor Roost Sponsorship program she co-ordinates for the Sunnyside Swap Shop Co-op.

Karen is looking forward to connecting with even more district businesses in the coming year including the newest BABA member, Starflower Florist, at 3411 SE Belmont and the district’s newest restaurant, Blue Basil Thai Cuisine, on the corner of 38th and Belmont.

A fond farewell to Pine State Biscuits who have closed their doors in the 3700 block of Belmont, moving to 1100 Division after five busy years serving biscuits.
