The Grandmothers of Invention consists of Mothers of Invention and Zappa alumni including keyboardist Don Preston (1967 through 1971), bassist Tom Fowler (1973 to 1976), vocalist Napoleon Murphy Brock (1974 to 1984) and two other sidemen who are new to Zappaland.
On Thursday, July 18, this group brings their One Size Fits All world tour to the Aladdin Theatre with an 8 pm curtain. The GrandMothers of Invention are the only Frank Zappa/Mothers of Invention alumni consistently performing the music of the maestro since 2003.
