River City Folk is a nationally-syndicated radio show that explores the connection between songwriters and their musical influences through interview and live performance. Hosted by songwriter Tom May for the nearly 30 years it has been on the air. (Locally, KZME(107.1)does Thursdays at 10 am.) Now the show goes live one Friday a month at Artichoke Music’s Backgate Stage, 3130 SE Hawthorne Blvd. and you can be in the audience.
The show will be Fridays at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), tickets are $5 and the space is limited. An open song-circle follows the program.
