Actress comedian Wendy Westerwelle wakes up every day feeling“Medicare-fully Fabulous”. Appropriately, that’s the name of her new show at Sanctuary Theater 1785 NE Sandy Blvd. February 6 through March 2.
Westerwelle’s tongue-in-cheek exploration about finally getting health insurance and discovering she’s never looked or felt better. She transforms into characters like Aunt Golda Rosenstern from Miami who marries Sol the linoleum king; Mallory, the new age therapist; a woman who does Botox and even her dentist.
She says. “It’s a show about hope and renewal and being older and loving it. I hope this encourages people who are over 64 or 30 or 20 to live every day as if it’s the most important. Wake up, get dressed and look fabulous. Be beautiful.”
Showtimes Thurs. through Sat., 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are online at www.tripro.org or 503.239.5919.
