It’s spring cleaning time! The annual Kerns/Buckman Neighborhood Cleanup is Sat., April 19 from 9 am to noon, neighbors may bring unwanted items to the Hinson Baptist Church parking lot at 1315 SE 20th. Enter on Salmon from 20th Ave.
For a donation of $10-30, depending on the load, we accept: bulky waste, yard debris, metal, batteries (no lithium or car batteries), tires and e-waste (including computers, cellphones, LCD monitors, printers and others).
We cannot accept: hazardous waste, paint, concrete, Styrofoam peanuts, fluorescent bulbs, dirt, or lithium car batteries. Contact Metro for hazardous waste disposal. Paint cans without lids and dried paint are acceptable.
Groups will also be out picking up trash and cleaning up graffiti. Interested in volunteering? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 503. 784.8785 prior to the clean-up.
You’re invited to this month’s Kerns Neighborhood Association meeting Weds., April 16 from 6 to 8 pm at the Pacific Crest Community School, located at NE 29th Ave and Davis St. Pizza and beverages provided. The meeting is open to anyone who lives, works or owns property in the neighborhood.
