The ARCO PDX Winter Concert

The ARCO-PDX Winter Concert is Saturday, January 17 at Refuge PDX, 116 SE Yamhill St beginning at 8 pm.

Warm your winter with fiery sounds from Vivaldi and Portland’s Kenji Bunch. Skip VonKuske’s one-man cello/laptop/guitar band, Cellotronik opens the night with original music and then, cello-shredders Hannah Hillebrand and Liz Byrd team up on Vivaldi’s Double Cello Concerto. Other featured pieces include Storm at Sea and, most appropriately, Winter, from The Four Seasons.

ARCO-PDX, the Amplified Repertory Chamber Orchestra of Portland presents classical music performed by memory, with amplification and innovative lighting in an unforgettable concert listening experience. They are one of the first groups to perform at the newly-remodeled audiovisionary center, Refuge PDX. Tickets for this all-ages show are on a “pay your hourly wage” sliding scale suggested donation. www.arcopdx.com.
