A night of blues, early jazz and ragtime from the 1920’s and 1930’s fills the hallowed halls of St. David of Wales Church, 2800 SE Harrison St. Friday evening December 11, beginning at 7:30 pm. The How Long Jug Band (pictured here at The Sandy Jug) performs traditional blues, jazz and ragtime music learned from recordings of the early jug bands. The Smut City Jellyroll Society plays syncopated swing from Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie, Blind Boy Fuller and others.
