DCBA Pres.: Sydney Mead
Meetings: 3rd Tuesday
OHSU Family Medicine at Richmond
3930 SE Division
The Division Street Fair is July 23 from 10:40 am – 5 pm
The Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers heads the parade officially starting the fair. The parade ends at 28th and Clinton where vendors and restaurants await. The fair continues with vendors on the side streets and music on the corners.
The parade is open to businesses and residents and requires only a short application form. Already scheduled are The Last Regiment, Love Bomb Go Go, and Joy Now, a children’s version of March Fourth Marching Band. Teva Oriata brings Polynesian Dancers and Orgullo Morelense, masked Mexican dancers. We continue to look for more music and dance groups, especially ones that could then perform/play on the street after the parade in the entertainment spaces on 31st, 35th, and 37th on Division and on Clinton.
Stages would be the Family/Main Stage, Folk and Bluegrass, Salsa/Latin and Dance. Businesses offer sidewalk sales and music in front of their shops. The ever popular LEGOs exhibit once again displays at the lobby of D Street, from 10 am – 4 pm. Students create and program a completely new exhibit each year.
Last minute changes will be printed on the day of the event schedule that you can pick up during the parade and at the DCBA booth.
The five days following the street fair, Bike To Shop invites you to visit Division/Clinton and take advantage of the coupons and sales available to bicyclists.
