Full Gallop

The story of Diana Vreeland in Full Gallop has its Oregon premiere as the opening of Triangle Productions! 27th season with performances September 15 through October 8 at The Sanctuary at Sandy Plaza, 1785 NE Sandy Blvd.

Vreeland was editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue magazines and a member of the International Cafe’ Society. She stood at the center of American style for five decades chronicling the extraordinary people and events of her day.

In the story, Vreeland has just returned to New York from Europe four months after being fired from Vogue magazine. At a turning point in her life, she throws an impromptu dinner party in the hope a wealthy friend she invited will bankroll a magazine of her own.

The luminous Margie Boulé brings Vreeland to life in 3D surrounded by sets heavy with shades of red. Vreeland was known to have said “Red is a great clarifier – it makes everything else look good.”

The show was written by Mary Louise Wilson and Mark Hampton and is directed by Donald Horn. For more and for ticket info, see trianglepro.org.
