Eugene songwriter Laura Kemp and Utah-based folk duo Otter Creek (Peter and Mary Danzig) come to town to share the news of their journeys through American acoustic music traditions, Sunday, October 16. at Café Artichoke, 3130 SE Hawthorne Blvd.
Kemp ,a fixture of the Oregon Music scene for more than twenty-five years, has the ability to make an audience chuckle, teacup and feel in the course of one song. She is a song writer with an eye for detail and melody, a chronicler of interior observations and her musical influences include; jazz, folk, bluegrass and yes, even kirtan.

Peter and Mary Danzig call themselves Otter Creek and perform with ten instruments between the two of them. The multi-instrumentalist songwriters explore bluegrass, old-time, celtic music and originals.
