Divided We Stand

Divided We Stand – Portland Artists React to Post-Election America is a new group show curated by Sara A. McCormick at The Ford Gallery, 2525 SE 11th Ave., opening Saturday January 7, from 6 to 10 pm and on display through January 22.

SE Portland artist Remedios Rappaport is one of 20-some featured artists at this show and she will have an installation featuring elements of her Gentle Revolution Mobile. Rappaport’s  Acro-Thinking vintage showcard (pictured here) will be featured too to stimulate interest in finding solutions to the problems of today.

Other artists include Alea Bone, Ben Pink, Bonnie Meltzer, Brent Wear, Chris Haberman, Davey Cadaver, Elizabeth Mcdonald, Gary Houston, Jim Lommasson, Karen Wippich, Mark Woolley, Miranda Tarrow, Nanette Wallace, Ryan Mcabery and Sara Sjol. The evening will feature live screenprinting by Christian Hooker.
