If you love trivia, join the group at Hedge House every Thursday evening from 8 – 9:30 pm for Trivia Night, presented by Red Baron Trivia. The evening features four rounds of five questions, with each round getting increasingly difficult. A unique wager system allows participants to wager more on the answers they know.
Work beginning on parking lot next door to Langlitz Leather. OPWurst opened at 34th and Division, replacing Honky Tonk Taco. OPWurst is one of Olympic Provisions businesses. The side of the building announced in huge letters, “It could always be wurst.”
Mark Lakeman’s company (Communitecture) moved from SE 12th to 1421 SE Division. The building is advertising creative loft space available by March. In the same building is Born and Raised Construction, specializing in building ADUs (tiny houses or separate quarters within a house).
The shop on the corner of 35th and Division is papered over. Heart Bar has replaced PortoBello at 1125 SE Division. Owner Nick Zukin announced that Mi Mero Mole, 50th and Division, will close. Moberi food carts, known for bicycle-powered smoothies opened a fourth location in the Tidbit food cart at 28th and Division. The focus will be on the unique ingredients used and only occasionally on the bike blender.
Division Clinton elected a new board and officers. They are President Jean Baker, Vice President Erin Kirk, Secretary Deirdre Baker and Treasurer Eve Davis. Joining Kevin Fisher of Edward Jones are Stacey Lennon of Portland Tribune, Lani Jo Leigh of Clinton Street Theater, Jennifer Knapp of Community vision and Abby Stage of Trailhead Credit Union. DCBA changed its meeting time to the third Tuesday at noon – 1:30 pm at D Street, 30th and Division. Plans for the year include the 2017 member supported Walking Map, the 29th St. Fair, and the 25th parade. Other events include Bike to Shop, Portland Celebrates Small, and a holiday event.
