is part of a show of her recent works at the Melody Event Center, 615 SE Alder St. through February 28.
Grimm explores the allegory of geese in flight and the migration of people across lands. After living in SE Portland most of her life, Grimm moved to the Oregon Coast for “the great privilege of being surrounded by more wildlife than people, so I am able to engage myself in the rhythms of nature.” Her paintings are inspired by hikes in the hills surrounding the Nehalem River Basin. She creates imagery of inner strength, clarity, and spaciousness.

Grimm’s murals are around Portland, including the one at Two Rivers Aikikai on SE 30th and Belmont St. christagrimm.com.
