It’s officially time to dig out the hats and serve up the hot cocoa, but our cold weather has not deterred good people from doing great things in Montavilla.
We are pleased to announce this month that a completely updated Montavilla Neighborhood Association website is being launched at www.montavillapdx.org. The site will be regularly updated with news and events, meeting minutes and resources. Please visit regularly to stay up-to-date on neighborhood happenings.
Benjamin Kerensa’s work as Public Safety Chair for the MNA was highlighted in his interview for the Seeds of SE Uplift Volunteer Spotlight piece. Read about Benjamin’s dedicated work and his hopes for the neighborhood at www.southeastuplift.org/content/seeds-se-uplift-volunteer-spotlight-benjamin-kerensa
Now is your chance to share your opinions about the future needs for Montavilla and its surrounding areas with the city. The Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability’s Comprehensive Plan Map App is accessible on all computers and tablets (no download required) and your added comments will help determine what Portland could look like and how it should grow over the next 20-years. MNA is encouraging neighbors to visit www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/pdxcompplan/mapapp to review a tutorial and begin sharing your vision and specific ideas or concerns within the map through December 31, 2013.
Please note: MNA does not meet for its monthly meeting in December. Happy Holidays neighbors! We look forward to seeing you all at a meeting in the 2014 New Year!
